Most states provide for devastating penalties in response to complaints of discrimination, harassment and other misconduct toward employees. Unfortunately, many of these laws are abused, resulting in litigation over unfounded claims. Even more disturbing, most employment discrimination statutes provide for the recovery of attorneys' fees for only the prevailing plaintiff, not a prevailing defendant. As result, employers are forced into making economic settlement intended to avoid additional attorneys’ expenses.


INVESTIGATION OF ALLEDGED MISCONDUCT

As part of the flat fee retention, our office investigates allegations of employee or employer misconduct and recommends further disciplinary or other handling needs. By involving a third party to investigate and evaluate claims, an employer protects against allegations of discrimination and improper investigation of employee claims.
